Home cinema room we recently designed was create through a garage conversion in the heart of the beautiful New forest, Hampshire. The job included the conversion, electrical installation, home cinema design and supply, security system, lighting control and HVAC.
This home cinema room design had to be practical for a place of work, place to entertain and of course a home cinema room. The garage was originally a double garage so this gave us the room we needed to play around with even giving us the space to include a shower room and toilet area. The front doors were replaced with bi-fold which gave plenty of light and offered a great way to bring the garden into this space giving the illusion of extra space making the room feel less small. The front bi-fold would have to be blacked out during movie mode which was achieved by installing the 122″ electric screen into a frame which when deployed fully achieved just that. The other windows had Qmotion black out blinds installed which also deployed during movie mode or upon using the on wall keypad.
Choosing the right control system for this project was easy we used control4 for integrating everything from the air conditioning through to the security system this of course is an easy choice. The audio was designed to feature dolby atmos through a 7.2.1 speaker setup all installed into the ceiling with the exception of the sub woofer to limit the intrusion into the room. The key sources to any top cinema normally in the racking and the racking had the following items;
SkyQ, Sony bluray, Playstaion4, Amazon fire stick and HDMI outlet used for external devices.
This room ended up both practical and high tech not mention easy to use with outstanding audio and video to stimulate the senses.
